I created Maugrimon as the champion form of Psychemon, who for some obscure reason does not have an official champion form. I took inspiration from Gabumon's (typical) evolution line and mixed some Astamon in there as well...

Name: Maugrimon
Pronunciation: “Maw-grim-mon”

Name Origin: Maugrim: A popular wolf character from C.S Lewis’ novel The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe (The Chronicles of Narnia) . Maugrim served as the Captain of the White Witch’s Secret Police.

Level: Champion
Gender: Male
Attribute: Data.
Family: Nature Spirits, Nightmare Soldiers
Type: Beast Digimon
Height/ Length H: 7ft (Shoulder)/ L: 18ft from nose to tail (tail constitutes 10ft of overall length)

Appearance
Maugrimon’s body is a dull red color. The stripes/ tips of his ears/spikes/ wings and parts of his tail are bright purple. His claws and the horns on his body are bright green. The symbol on his belly is the same symbol on the chest of Psychemon. His underbelly and the inside of his wings are a light grey color. The fur on his back, neck and underbelly is a darker grey. The armor on his head and the spikes on his wings are dark brown whilst the horns on his head are a golden yellow/orange color. His eyes are purple in the centre, blending into a bright red.

Personality:
Maugrimon has a brash and arrogant personality, a far cry from its timid previous form (Psychemon). He believes he is superior to those around him. If he believes he or his allies are being threatened he attacks recklessly with lightning speed and deadly force.

Extra Information: Maugrimon uses his short temper to power his attacks. When infuriated his powers can be compared to that of an Ultimate level Digimon. Although he has two sets of wings, Maugrimon is incapable of flight. They are however a major advantage to him when he dashes at foes, giving him superior agility.

History: Maugrimon is the result of a rebirth of a Garurumon that was defeated by a Demon Lord Digimon. Fragments of the Demon Lord’s data during the final attack was absorbed into Garurumon before reconfiguration.

Attack Name:
Black Death: Maugrimon becomes engulfed in black flames and rushes recklessly around the battlefield, tackling opponent/s.

Ashen Claws: Swipes at foes with sharp claws.

Side Note: In early American editions of the book, Lewis changed the name to ‘Fenris Ulf’ (a wolf from Norse mythology), but when HarperCollins took over the books they backed out Lewis's revisions, and the name Maugrim has been used in all editions since 1994. _(Wikipedia)
